llluvitars are configurable avatars used as profile pictures in the Illuvium Universe.

An Illuvitar consists of a Portrait and Accessories with near-infinite possibilities.

Once purchased, players can connect their accounts and wallets to use the Illuvitar across all Illuvium games. Illuvitars represent the perfect mix of randomness and rarity via Accessories that are “bonded” to a base Portrait.

A Portrait is an Illuvial image with distinct expressions, backgrounds, and finishes that differ in rarity. Buyers can mint an infinite number of Portraits from Portrait Crates during the sale. These act as the base of an Illuvitar and are usable on their own. It does not require any Accessories.

• Background: A randomly generated addition to the Portrait ranging from Common to Ascendant.
• Expression: Each Illuvitar has a ‘normal’ expression, usually just a standard headshot. There are also ‘expressed’ versions, which represent something much rarer.
• Finish: Illuvitars have a ‘normal’ finish and a ‘holographic’ version, which is much rarer.

There are over 150 Genesis Characters in the first set of Illuvials. This first Illuvitar sale features some of the most popular Illuvial characters. Once the sale ends, nobody can mint them ever again. Each Illuvitar sale contains a unique batch of Illuvials.

Portrait Crates contain a random Illuvial with a random background, finish, and expression. Buyers can mint an infinite amount during the sale window.

Portrait Crates include Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, and Diamond Tiers, with higher Tiers having higher chances of dropping higher Illuvial Tiers and Stages.

Buyers can customise their Portrait with Accessories. Accessories are not required but present a fun way to add flair to your Illuvitar. Accessories are an additional layer that “bonds” permanently to the Portrait using five corresponding slots — Headwear, Eyewear, Skin, Bodywear, and Props.

Customers can purchase Tiered Accessory Crates during the sale. These Crates contain a wide range of Accessories used to customise each available slot on the Portrait. Remember, the higher the Tier, the higher the rarity.

Random Accessory Crates contain an Accessory from any Accessory slot.

Semi-Random Accessory Crates contain an Accessory for a specific slot the customer selects.

Players choose to bond their Portrait with an Accessory as long as that slot is available. Players can bond multiple slots in a single transaction.

Some accessories are only available from in-game drops, meaning they are not directly purchasable in the sale. Therefore, players must purchase them from another player via the IlluviDex.

Borders are custom-designed outlines for Illuvitars not directly purchasable in the sale. Players can only achieve borders via end-of-season rankings and other achievements. Borders are account bound, so if a player sells an Illuvitar, the account-tied Border stays in the selling player’s account. Players can swap out their Border freely.

The Illuvitars Sale is to be announced. Buyers can mint an unlimited amount of Illuvitar Portraits via a Portrait Crate (plus applicable gas fees) within this limited period. Buyers can also mint one or more optional Accessories via an Accessory Crate. Illuvitars will be purchasable with ETH or sILV2. The Illuvium Vault receives all sales revenue and distributes it to ILV Stakers through Revenue Distribution.

The Illuvitar Sale will take place directly on the IlluviDex.

Owners can resell their Illuvitars on the IlluviDex and other secondary markets. However, sellers must mark their NFTs as ‘available for sale’, which means they cannot use them in-game once listed.

You can mint an unlimited number of Illuvitars during the sale window. Once the sale ends, these Illuvitars will never be minted again.
